The colours have matte or satin, slightly different finishes :
Colours with a matte, soft and velvety finish : Pale violet, Storm, Moss, Lichen, Pearl grey, Linen, Buff, Greige, Cream, Mustard
Colours with a matte, slightly frosted finish : Grey mauve, Violet, Turquin, Peacock, Mint, Sage, Olive, Thyme, Burgundy, Hazelnut, Rust, Onion, Lemon, Chartreuse
Colours with a satin, slightly textured finish : Pale mauve, Pearly blue, Tea green, Pearly white, Pearly beige
Colours with a very matte and powdered finish : Snow, Sky blue, Cornflower
-> Mint has the distinctive feature of often having a few dark cracks (but not always).
Food contact : Our glazes contain no lead or cadmium. In addition, our base formulations have been tested by an independent laboratory, validating all of our colours for food use in accordance with European and French standards.
Precaution : When using the products for coffee, tea, or any other high-coloured food (red beetroot, red wine...), it is recommended to rinse them fairly quickly after use to prevent tannin deposits, paying particular attention to very matte colours (Snow, Sky blue, and Cornflower).
About plates : Matte and light-coloured glazes can be sensitive to knife marks. These marks can be removed by rubbing with a scrubbing sponge. You can use a little baking soda for added effectiveness. To avoid the marks, colours with a satin finish are the most recommended for an intensive use. Medium and dark-coloured matte glazes are also suitable.
Note (colour name change) : Pale Mauve replaces the former Melted pale violet, and Pearly white replaces the former Melted pearl grey.
